Steven Koch VICE PRESIDENT Steven is a vice president at Kainos with a focus on evaluating, executing and managing investment opportunities in the food and consumer products sectors.
He enjoys that his role provides the opportunity to build relationships with different types of leaders across Kainos’ partner companies.
He likes the level of engagement and collaboration Kainos has with its partner companies and the access it provides to understanding how each function within a company uniquely contributes to value creation.
Steven first joined Kainos in 2014 as an associate and rejoined in 2019.
Prior to joining Kainos, he began his career as an investment banker with UBS Investment Bank’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group and Financial Institutions Group in New York City.
Steven holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern, and graduated with distinction from the University of Virginia with a B.S.
in Commerce.
In his free time, Steven volunteers with the Special Needs Ministry at the Highland Park United Methodist Church.
He is also part of the UVA Alumni Association.
When he is not working or volunteering, he enjoys playing the piano and being outdoors, playing soccer or skiing.
