Before joining SG Cowen & Co. in May 2004, Mr. Slayton was an equity analyst at Ferris, Baker Watts, Inc., a Baltimore-based investment bank, where he covered telecommunications and semiconductor stocks.
Prior to working in the capital markets, he was a project engineer at Powerwave Technologies, a manufacturer of mobile wireless infrastructure subsystems.
Mr. Slayton served 13 years in the U.S.
Coast Guard, principally as a shipboard engineer and telecommunications program manager.
He is a graduate of the U.S.
Coast Guard Academy and holds Master's degrees in electrical engineering and business administration.
Mr. Slayton is also a licensed professional engineer in California.
