Prior to joining Eastern in May 2012, he served as a Vice President and Planning Specialist at Merrill Lynch where he worked with Financial Advisors and their high-net-worth clients to provide trust, insurance and financial planning strategies.
Prior to that, he was a Planning Analyst at Smith Barney's Regional Planning Center where he worked with the Planning Team to coordinate and deliver customized financial plans and solutions to Financial Advisors and their high-net-worth clients.
Mr. van Luling is a Certified Financial Planner practitioner and Chartered Retirement Planning CounselorSM (CRPC).
He holds a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Bentley University.
He also holds a certificate in financial planning from Boston University's Center for Professional Education.
