Yap is currently the Chairman of Realty Investment, Inc., Director of Loyola School of Theology, Director of Manila Observatory, Trustee of Ateneo de Naga University, President of Ekklesia Mutual Fund, Inc., and Trustee of Private Education Retirement Annuity Association.
He was previously an Independent Director of Metro Pacific Investments Corp., President & Trustee of the University of Ateneo de Manila, Assistant Professor at the University of Ateneo de Manila, and President of Xavier University - Ateneo de Cagayan.
Yap holds a doctorate degree from University College London, a graduate degree from The New School for Social Research, a graduate degree from Loyola School of Theology, and a graduate degree from Harvard Kennedy School of Government.
