Within Duke Forest he is primarily focused on defining the firm’s overall investment strategy as well as structuring transactions and portfolio management.
Before incorporating Duke Forest, Philippe Schuit was the managing director of three later stage venture capital funds: Advanced European Technologies NV (AET), European Technology Holding BV (ETH), and Strategic European Technologies NV (SET).
After having restructured each of them, he brought the latter two under management of Duke Forest.
Before that he was with The Greenery International, a company active in the field of fresh produce, where he was first appointed Manager Corporate Business Development and subsequently Director Processing, a business unit focused on delivering value added products.
In 1988 Philippe Schuit joined Atlas Venture where during 9 years he was involved with numerous early stage, expansion and buy-out transactions in the ICT and life sciences arena from the offices of Amsterdam and Munich.
He held and still holds several supervisory board positions and joined the O3SIS board in 2005.
Philippe Schuit studied business administration at the European University of Antwerp and started his career as a consultant in the field of business development and technology transfer.
