Paul Luke has been involved in emerging markets since 1986, when he joined Libra Bank as Chief Economist.
Prior to this, Paul had worked at the Bank of England and the Cabinet Office.
Between 1990 and 1992, he was Chief Economist at Chartered West LB (later West Merchant Bank), with responsibilities for proprietary trading in emerging markets debt.
In 1994, he joined Morgan Grenfell as Head of Emerging Markets Research and afterwards held a number of senior positions in the Deutsche Bank Group, latterly in the Emerging Markets Proprietary Trading Division.
Between 2000 and 2002, he was Deputy Chairman and Head of Investment Banking at emerging markets specialist Brunswick Direct and was Chief Executive of Brunswick Emerging Markets in London.
Paul graduated with first class honours (BSC Econ) from the University of Wales in 1974 and has published widely on emerging markets, receiving several awards for his research.
