Mr. Sandler co-founded Symphony in January 2002.
From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Sandler was the Partner responsible for healthcare investing at Behrman Capital, a $1.8 billion private equity firm.
During his prior career at Robertson Stephens, Paine Webber, Drexel Burnham and Kidder, Peabody, he managed over 125 financings and mergers and acquisitions with an aggregate value exceeding $13 billion for life sciences and healthcare companies.
Mr. Sandler was also a member of Paine Webber Development Corp.
which managed investments in R&D limited partnerships.
He graduated with an M.B.A.
from the Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth College and received a B.A.
degree in Political Science, magna cum laude, from Tufts University.
Mr. Sandler has served on the Board of Directors of three biopharmaceutical development partnerships: Centocor Partners, Genzyme Development Partners and Synergen (Amgen) Clinical Partners.
