The Society of NeuroInterventional Surgery (SNIS) is a scientific and educational association founded in 1992, based in Fairfax, VA. SNIS is dedicated to advancing the specialty of neurointerventional surgery through research, standard-setting, education, and advocacy to provide the highest quality of patient care in diagnosing and treating diseases of the brain, spine, head, and neck. The right treatment can be the difference between life and death, and stroke kills almost 140,000 Americans each year, making it a leading cause of death and long-term disability. SNIS offers various resources, including fellowship programs, trials, patient information brochures, and job boards, to help patients and neurointerventional trainees.
