Ms. McGrane began her career at Berthel Fisher & Company, spending three years as a trader and relationship specialist.
She then joined William Blair & Company, where her fifteen-year career spanned fixed income, fundamental equity, and systematic equity research and portfolio management, along with multiple leadership roles.
Most recently, Melissa co-founded Datum 9 Analytics with her former boss, serving as both Portfolio Manager and Director of Research.
She earned B.A degrees in Economics and Business Administration from Coe College in 1999.
She earned her M.B.A.
with concentrations in Finance, Economics, and Econometrics & Statistics from The University of Chicago’s Booth School of Business in 2009.
