Martin Poulsen

Martin Poulsen’s career has included time as an engineer and a financial professional and has included work across the full commercial – developmental spectrum in developed and developing countries.
Martin is currently a Private Equity Specialist at the European Investment Bank (EIB) where he is a member of the Energy, Environment and Advisory Group, focusing on equity and quasi-equity investments into European funds and projects with dual commercial and sustainability objectives.
Current investment projects include renewable energy infrastructure funds (principally developing new wind, biofuel, DHS, solar infrastructure), an ecosystems fund and direct investment into biofuel plants.
Prior to joining this group he was a member of the EIB’s Africa, Caribbean and Pacific Group with a primary focus on making sustainable and profitable equity investments into these high risk regions.Prior to joining the EIB Mr Poulsen was a member of the team that established Kennet Capital, one of Europe’s leading early stage technology venture capital firms.
