Roots Industries India Ltd. manufactures a range of electric horns, backup alarm and electronic horns for passenger vehicles, off-road vehicles and material handling equipment. It operates through three divisions: High Precision Engineering, Metrology and Automotive. The High Precision Engineering division manufactures highly critical parts, sub assemblies and high level assemblies for the medical, aerospace, flow control, automobile and other engineering industries. The Metrology division provides calibration and measurement services to a number of customers on mass, mechanical, electrical, pressure, thermal, vacuum and torque. The company was founded in 1970 and is headquartered in Coimbatore, Tamil Naidu.
