Formerly Spängler IQAM Invest GmbH, the firm was founded in 2010 by Spängler KAG and the Institute for Quantitative Asset Management. Spängler IQAM Invest Asset Management GmbH (Spängler IQAM) is the investment advisory subsidiary of Spängler IQAM Invest GmbH, itself a subsidiary of Bankhaus Carl Spängler & Co. in Austria. Established in 2007 by Thomas Dangl, Engelbert J. Dockner, Thomas Steinberger and Josef Zechner, the firm was formerly known ae Institut für Quantitatives Asset Management GmbH and changed their name to Spängler IQAM Invest Asset Management GmbH in 2012 when the strategic partnership between Carl Spängler Kapitalanlagegesellschaft m.b.H. and Institut für Quantitatives Asset Management GmbH merged. Spängler IQAM is based in Vienna and caters to institutional and private investors. They develop tailored investment products and solutions focused on asset and risk management. They also provide consulting and research services.
