Prior to joining Morpheus Capital Advisors as Vice Chairman of Boston, Mr. Gallo he held various positions in Citigroups Investment Bank for 14 years.
Mr. Gallo's clients have included public and private companies of all sizes, with an increased focus on small and mid-cap companies, financial sponsors, venture capitalists and entrepreneurs.
From 2005 until 2008, Mr. Gallo was responsible for Citigroups Mid-Cap Investment Banking business, comprising senior bankers who covered small and mid-cap companies across all industries.
During 2001 until 2005, Mr. Gallo headed Citigroups Italian Investment Banking unit, where he restructured and repositioned its corporate and investment banking business.
While in Milan, he represented corporate clients and financial sponsors, as well as the Italian Government, in domestic and cross border M&A and capital raising.
He also established Citigroups coverage of private equity funds investing in the Italian market, including Permira, BC Partners, Apax, Clayton Dublier & Rice and Investitori Associati.
Prior to his Italy assignment, Mr. Gallo founded and was Co-Head of Citigroups Software Investment Banking Group.
He has advised software and IT services companies in M&A, IPOs, equity and debt financings.
He was also a member of Citigroups global Advisory Group and for several years focused on real estate and lodging transactions.
Mr. Gallo graduated magna cum laude, with a degree in Mathematical Economics from Brown University in 1982, where he was elected Phi Beta Kappa.
Following Brown, he graduated from the New York University School of Law in 1986.
Mr. Gallo is a member of the Board of Trustees of Shakespeare & Company in Lenox, Massachusetts, and is involved with recruiting and career development at Brown University.
He is married with three children, and lives in Sudbury, Massachusetts.
