Mr. James Homer started his career working for a local accounting firm in the South of England where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant.
He then moved to the London office of Price Waterhouse, initially focussing on bank and insurance audits prior to specialising in insolvency and corporate restructuring work.
In 1995, Mr. Homer joined the 3i group plc, becoming part of the London/South East buyout team, before relocating to its Düsseldorf office in 1999.
As an Investment Director within the European Buy-out-Team, he was responsible for both new investment and portfolio management.
In addition, he was the German representative in 3i’s international sector teams for engineering and food.
Mr. Homer joined Borromin Capital Management GmbH’s team at the beginning of 2002 where he has a joint role as CFO whilst also engaging directly in investment and portfolio work.
Mr. Homer has an honours degree in microbiology from Edinburgh University, qualified as an Associate Chartered Accountant in 1990 with the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and was admitted as a Fellow Chartered Accountant in 2000.
He is a non-executive advisory board member of MPS.
