Prior to joining Church Capital Management in October 2003, Mr. Saumure served as Chief Investment Officer and Chairman of the Investment Committee for Sterling Financial Trust Company, a subsidiary of Sterling Financial Corporation.
In this role, Mr. Saumure was responsible for managing investment portfolios as well as strategic evaluation of the economy and capital markets.
Mr. Saumure began his career in the investment field in 1986, as an account executive for Dean Witter Reynolds, Inc. (now Morgan Stanley) with an emphasis on handling the investment needs of individuals.
In 1997, he joined Bank of Hanover and Trust as a Trust Investment Officer, and was later appointed Chief Investment Officer for the Trust Company.
In August 2000, Bank of Hanover & Trust became a subsidiary of Sterling Financial Corporation.
Mr. Saumure received his MBA from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland and earned a BS in Commerce and Engineering Sciences from Drexel University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Mr. Saumure holds the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) accreditation, is a member of the Association for Investment Management and Research (AIMR), and the Baltimore Security Analysts Society.
