Prior to joining Abacus in 2001, Mr. Gomes was Vice President at Chase Manhattan Bank both in New York and Toronto.
During his fifteen year tenure at Chase, he was responsible for corporate and investment banking for numerous industry sectors such as Industrial Products, Consumer Products and Media & Telecom and Derivatives and Structured Finance.
He has been actively involved in several M&A and capital raising transactions totaling several billion dollars.
Mr. Gomes is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA), has a Bachelor of Science and an MBA from St. John’s University, New York and a Bachelors and Masters of Commerce from the University of Bombay.
