Mr. François Nicoly founded IPE in 2002 with Philippe Nguyen.
Since then he has been directly involved in all the transactions completed by the previous funds.
He is a board member of Compagnie des Alpes, Ermewa and World Freight Company.
Mr. Nicoly is a graduate of Ecole Centrale Paris (where he graduated with Philippe Nguyen) and holds a Master’s Degree in Small Business Management from HEC business school.
Prior to founding IPE, he was a partner of Credit Lyonnais Private Equity (2001-2002), where he completed successful LBO investments with Philippe Nguyen and Jean-René Catalan.
Previously, François managed and successfully turned around energy, logistics and industrial businesses, notably in Morocco for SHV Primagaz and Somepi Group, for 7 years.
Prior to that, from 1984 to 1992, François developed and managed a sizeable portfolio of equity investments in the US, Europe and Asia for Elf Technologies in the US, then for Paris-based Elf International private equity division.
François also worked as an independent advisor to US and European high-tech companies for three years.
