Dr. Erich Hacker (Chairman) is managing director of High Tech Private Equity GmbH since April 2002.
From 2000 to 2002 he was director of the research department of DEWB AG.
Before that he headed the strategic technology development department of JENOPTIK AG (Holding).
He has many years of experience in the optical technology business and a wide-ranging international network/connections.
In 1995 he became a managing director of the newly founded JENOPTIK Laser, Optik, Systeme GmbH in Jena and headed the optics business up to 1998.
From 1991 to 1995 he formed and headed the the optics division of JENOPTIK GmbH.
During the ten years before, he had several leading positions at Carl Zeiss Jena.
Erich Hacker received his academical degrees at the Electrotechnical University of St. Petersburg (MS) and the Friedrich-Schiller-University Jena (PhD).
He is author and co-author of more than 100 papers and more than 40 patents.
