Prior to the formation of Flagship, Mr. Holland served as Senior Advisor for OneLiberty Ventures, a predecessor firm to Flagship Ventures.
He has been a venture capitalist since he joined American Research and Development in 1969.
His personal start-up experience includes the founding of Massachusetts Capital Research Corporation (MCRC) in 1978 and the co-founding of Morgan, Holland Ventures in 1982.
He was also a driving force in the transition of Morgan, Holland to OneLiberty, and served as a General Partner in its first fund.
Mr. Holland maintains an ongoing affiliation with MIT, where he completed undergraduate studies and, after earning his MBA from Harvard Business School, served as an Industrial Liaison Officer.
He is a past President of the New England Venture Capital Association and a recognized industry figure.
He is presently a Director of Flagship portfolio companies DebtExchange.
In addition, he serves as Director of the enterprise software company of Vista Medical Technologies.
