Charles Lichfield

Mr. Charles Lichfield is an Analyst at Eurasia Group UK Ltd.
He began as the Europe team's researcher with a wide variety of responsibilities.
He now focuses on France, Germany, and the UK, while maintaining an interest in the EU's security, neighborhood, trade, and energy policies.
Prior to joining Eurasia Group, he worked for the Russia and Eurasia Program at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace in Washington.
He then spent a few weeks at Eurasia Foundation, thus becoming only the second person to make a direct transition from Foundation to Group (the two are unrelated in all but name).
Mr. Lichfield has an MA in German and Russian from the University of Cambridge and spent his third year studying history at Moscow State University.
