Mr. Johnson began his career as an analyst at Old Colony Trust Company/ He was also a Senior Vice President at Throndike, Paine & Lewis, a Boston based money management firm which later became Wellington Management.
Mr. Johnson also served as Senior Vice President in the advisory division of The Putnam Companies.
He also served as President and Chief Investment Officer of One Federal Asset Management, the investment management subsidiary of Shawmut Bank.
In 1991, Mr. Johnson founded Atlantic Investment Advisors which later became a division of Hambrecht & Quist.
In 1999, Hambrecht & Quist transferred the personnel and clients of Atlantic to Steinberg Global.
Mr. Johnson is a member of the Board of Overseers of Boston Medical Center.
