Sherman is Chief Compliance Officer & General Counsel at Canyon Capital Realty Advisors LLC (Real Estate).
Prior to joining Canyon, Ms. Sherman was a partner in the real estate law firm of Appel Law Partners, LLP (now Appel & Henick LLP).
She also served as Vice President of Operations and Associate General Counsel for a large privately held import company, and prior to that, practiced real estate and general business law as a partner with Ervin, Cohen & Jessup, LLP in Beverly Hills.
Ms. Sherman received her undergraduate degree in BBA Finance from George Washington University and a graduate degree in JD from George Washington University.
