Mr. Andrei Zemnitsky was a Vice President responsible for business development at Altimo until July 2009.
Prior to joining Altimo in 2005, he was a Project manager at Alfa Group Corporate Center, where he held responsibility for the strategic and investment planning processes of the Group companies.
He also provided expert counsel to Alfa Group companies regarding merger and acquisition activities.
Mr.Andrei Zemnitsky's background in telecommunications is bolstered by his experience at VimpelCom (NYSE: VIP) where he served in the Business Development Department in 2003.
He was responsible for the development and implementation of VimpelCom's acquisition strategy in Russia and across the CIS.
He is a former Vice-President of the Investment Banking Directorate at the Russian Investors Company in 2000-2002, participating in a vast number of m&a and consulting projects.
From 1998 to 2000 he was an advisor to the World Bank (IBRD), dealing with international trade in financial and telecommunication services.
Mr. Andrei Zemnitsky holds a Masters Degree in Economic Theory from the Higher School of Economics in Moscow.
He completed an evaluation of the effect of financial services import liberalization on the Russian economy for his Ph.D in 2003.
He was awarded a CFA designation in 2004.
Mr. Andrei Zemnitsky is one of the founders of CFA Association (Russia).
