GEL, revenues down 10 percent in 2023 due to industrial sector downturn

(Alliance News) - GEL Spa reported Monday that it ended 2022 with revenues of EUR15.5 million.

The figure marks a 10 percent drop from EUR17.2 million in 2022, with the reduction mainly due to the industrial sector, which recorded revenues of EUR900,000 versus EUR2.2 million in 2022. The residential market remained solid, with a turnover of EUR14.6 million as of December 31, 2023.

GEL's stock closed Monday at a par at EUR1.30 per share.

GEL SPA is an Italy-based company, which manufactures devices and products for water treatment. The Company designs and produces equipments made with materials that are suitable for contact with potable water. Its range of products is divided into three segments: End Users, Professionals and Industrial. The End Users segment includes filters, water softener, dosing units, reverse osmosis and conditioning. The Professional segment includes water treatment, conditioning and maintenance, which encompasses descaling chemicals, equipment for system flushing and filling and technical products. The Industrial segment includes leachate, medical water, mobile plants, solutions for food and beverage, drinking water and desalination. In addition, the Company offers services such as Analysis laboratory for internal use, permanent training centre, engineering and management of treatment systems, among others.
