(MT Newswires) -- Woodside Energy and Santos have confirmed that they are in preliminary talks for a potential merger, paving the way for the creation of an Australian gas export giant. Oil and gas producers in Asia remain very optimistic about future demand for LNG, which is expected to play a complementary role, even in a context of decarbonization and increasing renewables.
