United Palm Oil Industry Public Company Limited is a Thailand-based company, which is principally engaged in the manufacture of crude palm oil and crude palm kernel oil. The Company's segments include oil palm plantation, crude palm oil and crude palm kernel oil processing and generation of electricity from biogases and biomasses. The Company and its subsidiaries have their own oil palm plantations, using fresh fruit bunches (FFB) as the main raw material for crude palm oil (CPO) production. It also purchases FFB from out-growers in the surrounding area of the crushing mill. The Company’s products include CPO, crude palm kernel oil (CPKO), and palm kernel cake (PKC), which are important raw materials for products, such as edible (cooking) oil, animal feed, butter, margarine, soap, shampoo, detergent, cleansing liquid, cosmetics, as well as food ingredients for snacks and ice cream. Additionally, the Company’s by-products, such as electricity, empty fruit bunches, and shells.
