SCHWAZ, Austria, May 13, 2024 - Tyrolit, a globally leading abrasives manufacturer, and Kyndryl (NYSE: KD), the world's largest IT infrastructure services provider, have announced an agreement to continue their long-term collaboration. It aims to enhance Tyrolit's SAP IT infrastructure, with a particular focus on SAP Basis operations that are instrumental to Tyrolit's business processes. The goal is to elevate Tyrolit's technological prowess and operational resilience, marking a significant step forward in its digital transformation journey.

For Tyrolit, choosing Kyndryl was essential to ensuring that it could minimize system downtime and ensure that it did not exceed the duration of a weekend (from Friday 1pm to Sunday afternoon), as the ERP system underpins Tyrolit's global production operations. Another important requirement was having direct access to a dedicated local Kyndryl SAP Basis specialist, both for the specific S/4 conversion project and for the day-to-day operational needs. In this way, and with Kyndryl's support, Tyrolit can maintain its business processes smoothly and implement system upgrades and changes effectively.
