Conagra Brands, Inc. reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended February 25, 2024. For the third quarter, the company reported sales was USD 3,032.9 million compared to USD 3,086.5 million a year ago. Net income was USD 308.6 million compared to USD 341.7 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.64 compared to USD 0.72 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 0.64 compared to USD 0.71 a year ago.
For the nine months, sales was USD 9,145 million compared to USD 9,303.7 million a year ago. Net income was USD 914.5 million compared to USD 646.1 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.91 compared to USD 1.35 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was USD 1.91 compared to USD 1.34 a year ago.
Conagra Brands, Inc. is among the major American agri-food groups. The group offers starters, ready-made meals, condiments, sauces, snacks, desserts, etc. (Birds Eye, Duncan Hines, Healthy Choice, Marie Callender's, Reddi-wip, Slim Jim, Angie's, BOOMCHICKAPOP, Duke's, Earth Balance, Gardein, and Frontera brands). Net sales break down by activity as follows:
- sale to supermarkets distribution (82.6%);
- sale to catering establishments (9.2%).
The balance of net sales (8.2%) concerns international business.
