Commercial Bank of Ceylon PLC reported earnings results for the third quarter and nine months ended September 30, 2023. For the third quarter, the company reported net interest income was LKR 23,432.09 million compared to LKR 22,101.24 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 6,233.4 million compared to LKR 6,095.73 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 4.6625 compared to LKR 4.561 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 4.6527 compared to LKR 4.561 a year ago.
For the nine months, net interest income was LKR 60,881.76 million compared to LKR 62,813.82 million a year ago. Net income was LKR 14,199.93 million compared to LKR 15,036.73 million a year ago. Basic earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 10.6109 compared to LKR 11.2449 a year ago. Diluted earnings per share from continuing operations was LKR 10.6109 compared to LKR 11.2449 a year ago.
