US jobless claims remained stable in the week to April 27, at 208,000, i.e. at the same rate as the previous week, the Labor Department announced on Thursday.

The previous week's claims were revised upwards from an initial estimate of 207,000.000.

The four-week moving average was down by 3,500 to 210,000.

The number of people receiving regular benefits was unchanged at 1.77 million for the week of April 20, the latest week for which figures are available.
