LIMA (Reuters) - Niagara Energy has purchased a 92.35% stake in Enel Generacion Peru, the local subsidiary of Italian utility Enel said in a statement on Tuesday.

Niagara had launched the takeover bid in March for $0.47 a share. The energy producer has bought some 2.9 billion shares, Enel's local unit said in a letter to Peru's market regulator.
