The Supervisory Board of Talanx subsidiary HDI Vertriebs AG has appointed Norbert Eickermann to the Management Board effective 1 February 2016. The 46-year-old business graduate will assume responsibility going forward for the Board area of 'Tied agents and direct sales'. He takes over from Walter Drefahl, who will support his successor in an advisory capacity until his contract expires on 31 July 2016.

'We wish Norbert Eickermann every success in his new role.' Wolfgang Hanssmann, Chief Executive Officer of HDI Vertriebs AG and the Board member at Talanx Deutschland responsible for Sales & Marketing, added: 'In Norbert Eickermann we have succeeded in attracting an extremely capable and highly experienced sales expert. I am already looking forward to working with him in the future.'

Norbert Eickermann is currently responsible for tied agents' sales at AXA Konzern AG, where he has served in various managerial functions since 2007. Prior to the merger of DBV-Winterthur Versicherungen and AXA he held a number of senior positions at both companies.
