Grupo Radio Centro, S.A.B. De C.V. Announced earnings results for the second quarter ended June 30, 2021. For the second quarter, the company announced sales was MXN 171.363 million compared to MXN 89.574 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 15.112 million compared to operating Income of MXN 280.521 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 58.157 million compared to net income of MXN 210.483 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.2276 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of MXN 0.8236 a year ago. For the half year, sales was MXN 281.706 million compared to MXN 256.106 million a year ago. Operating loss was MXN 48.482 million compared to operating Income of MXN 231.058 million a year ago. Net loss was MXN 134.052 million compared to net income of MXN 128.522 million a year ago. Basic loss per share from continuing operations was MXN 0.5246 compared to basic earnings per share from continuing operations of MXN 0.5029 a year ago.
Grupo Radio Centro, S.A.B. de C.V. (Grupo Radio Centro) is a Mexico-based broadcasting company. The main activities of Grupo Radio Centro are the production and broadcasting of musical and entertainment programs, programs of information and analysis, news and special events. Grupo Radio Centro operates and owns fifteen radio stations. Of these fifteen radio stations, twelve are located in Mexico City, one AM station located in Guadalajara, one in Monterrey and one FM station in Los Angeles, California. The Company also operates a chain of radio, Impelling Radio Organization (OIR), which provides programming and acts as representative domestic sales of more than a hundred radio stations affiliated to Grupo Radio Centro along the Mexican Republic. The Company sells airtime commercial radio stations.
