Drone Volt announced on Monday that it was seeing strong growth in demand for the 'Hercules 20', its heavy-lift drone, a positive statement that boosted its share price on the Paris stock exchange.

The manufacturer points out that this heavy-lifter is currently its 'best-seller' in the USA, where it was its best-selling aircraft in the first quarter, accounting for almost 70% of volumes.

The drone, which is currently used by the city of Washington to remove graffiti, carries a 250-bar high-pressure cleaner and boasts a payload capacity of 15 kg, with a flight time ranging from 15 to 40 minutes, depending on the weight carried.

According to Drone Volt, its configuration makes it useful for missions such as de-icing power lines, cleaning buildings and transporting equipment.

Its use for cleaning facades avoids the need for costly, dangerous and polluting scaffolding.

The group - which says it has substantial production capacity to meet future orders - thus confirms that it has entered a "virtuous" cycle of margin improvement, as announced at the start of the year.

Following these comments, Drone Volt shares rose by almost 4% on Monday on the Paris Bourse.
