Investor and founder with George Soros of investment fund “Quantum Fund”, Jim Rogers is a brilliant economist. His analyses are regularly published on Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Financial Times, Washington Post….
He also presents many television shows on various channels dedicated to finance’s subjects, and he teaches at Columbia University.
With a degree from Yale University in his curriculum, Jim Rogers, after a short period in U.S. army, gets his first job at Wall Street. Six years later, he joined the consulting and investment firm Arnhold & S. Bleichroederen. Here he has met George Soros, and with whom he created the famous investment fund “Quantum Fund”, remembered as the investment fund that has been able to grow by 4200% in ten years.
At 37 years old, Jim Rogers has retired. He has accepted a position as professor of finance at Columbia University School of Business and he continuing to manager his own portfolio.
In 1998, he founded the Rogers International Commodity Index (RICI), which is one of the most important.
Keen about motorcycling, in 1990 Jim Rogers began a world tour motorbike which will run for two years. He travels more than 160.000 Km, a performance which allows him to enter in the Guinness Book of Records. He uses his voyages to analyze investment opportunities in each visited Country. These analyses are collecting in many books, which he has published.
