WESTFIELD, Mass. (AP) _ Western New England Bancorp (WNEB) on Tuesday reported fourth-quarter earnings of $5 million.

The bank, based in Westfield, Massachusetts, said it had earnings of 20 cents per share.

The bank holding company posted revenue of $24.2 million in the period. Its revenue net of interest expense was $21.3 million, surpassing Street forecasts.

For the year, the company reported profit of $11.2 million, or 45 cents per share. Revenue was reported as $73.7 million.

Western New England Bancorp shares have declined nearly 8% since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Tuesday, shares hit $6.36, a fall of 30% in the last 12 months.
