While Safran has announced that it has entered into exclusive discussions with a view to acquiring 100% of the share capital of Preligens (a leader in AI dedicated to the aerospace and defense industries) for an enterprise value estimated at 220 million euros, Wendel recalls that, at the beginning of 2023, it had invested nearly 10.2 million euros in the form of convertible bonds and warrants in Preligens.

Completion of the Safran/Preligens transaction would generate net proceeds for Wendel of around €14.6 million, representing a gross IRR of 28%, subject to final agreement.

This first exit validates Wendel Growth's strategy of supporting innovative, fast-growing venture capital companies that are poised to become profitable and attractive targets for strategic players
or private equity investors.
