FRANKFURT (dpa-AFX) - Investors in Varta were left with nothing of the previous day's temporary double-digit recovery on Friday. Following a cut in the sales forecast, the shares of the battery company gave up all their gains with a double-digit loss.

"We are still waiting for the annual results for 2023 and the results for the first quarter, and Varta is already lowering its targets for 2024," commented one expert. He is particularly concerned about the further slowdown in the energy storage market cited as a reason. This was one of the last growth bastions and cash generators.
