SANDNES,Norway 10 June 2024 - The Barents Sea Polaris carbon storage licence partners Horisont Energi and PGNiG Upstream Norway (Operator) have applied to theNorwegian Ministry of Energy for an extension of the deadline,10 June 2024 , for the Decision of Concretisation (BoK) milestone. BoK is a milestone in the planning phase of Norwegian offshore industry licence projects, involving completion of the initial phase of the licence's committed work program as required by the authorities. About Polaris The Polaris licence (EXL003) was awarded inApril 2022 and is the only CO2 storage licence in theBarents Sea . PGNiG Upstream Norway is the operator withHorisont Energi as the partner, each holding a 50% share.
