In a recent interview, Bugatti CEO Mate Rimac unveils the Tourbillon, a new hybrid successor to the Chiron. Equipped with an 8.3-litre V16 engine assisted by three electric motors, the Tourbillon has a power output of 1,800 bhp and can reach speeds of over 400 km/h. Its starting price is set at 3.8 million euros.

For Mate Rimac, the design of a new Bugatti model is a rare event, often several decades away. Despite market expectations, the brand has opted to retain a combustion engine while incorporating hybrid technology.

In terms of safety, around 30 prototypes were built during the development process, 15 of which were subjected to repeated crash tests until all the safety criteria had been met.
