Terms of Reference for the Position of Deputy General Manager, Export Unit

  1. Position Title : Deputy General Manager
  1. Position Level : 5/M4
  1. Employment Status : Contract for 3 years with possibility of renewal depending upon performance.
  1. Minimum qualification : Masters (MBA preferred)
  1. Experience : Minimum 8 years and experience in relevant field will be added advantage
  1. Pay & Allowances : (Basic Salary 23,995, Corporate Allowance 25%, Contact Allowance 45%, Communication Allowance Nu. 1500, Fuel Allowance Nu. 1500)
  1. Other benefits : PBVA payout and bonus based on company's performance

He/she will be responsible for establishing and developing a business plan for export and import, which will establish and create sustainable growth of the company.

  1. Key Roles and Responsibilities
  • Carry out market research activity in export/import markets,
  • Carry out studies to penetrate the export markets so that contribution to the overall revenue of the company is improved,
  • Planning and budgeting of all export and import activities,
  • Analyze and monitor the markets and prepare a business plan to identify and develop new sales opportunities for the export/import of domestic and commercial products,
  • Develop marketing strategies to drive export/import sales activities and evaluate potential in international markets,
  • Ensure adherence to country specific importation legislation,
  • Develop and maintain good relationships within supply chain to explore existing suppliers, distributors, transporters and any relevant agencies,
  • Develop and execute marketing efforts in achieving regular sales targets
  • Develop appropriate marketing materials,
  • Provide market intelligence and competitor activity reports to the Managing Director and

Management.

  • Study and recommend effective distribution channel from supplier to customer,
  • Understand complexity of supply chain activities and the most appropriate distribution channels in key export markets,
  • Maintain business confidentiality of information,
  • Oversee and be accountable for day to day affairs of the Export Unit,
  • Ensure proper documentation of all records, correspondence etc,
  • Carry out cost/price analysis,
  • Any other task assigned by the Management.
