Sylvain Denis is a Senior Vice President and Head of Direct Investments for Dubai International Capital LLC (‘DIC’), the international investment arm of the conglomerate Dubai Holding.

Sylvain joined DIC upon its establishment in 2004 and helped found the firm.
As Head of Direct Investments, he heads DIC’s global buy-out division and is responsible for deal flow, selection, execution, portfolio company management and exits.
Sylvain led DIC’s acquisitions of The Tussauds Group, Doncasters, Travelodge and Mauser.
Sylvain also led the merger of The Tussauds Group with Merlin Entertainment, creating the second largest visitor attraction in the world after Disney.
He has been on the boards of these companies as a non-executive director.
In 2003, he joined the Executive Office of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed as Finance Director where he was responsible for the financial planning and consolidation as well as the corporate restructuring of the Group which includes high profile projects such as TECOM, Jumeirah Beach Residence, Dubai Health Care City and Dubailand.
Sylvain was previously Chief Operating Officeer of Injazat Technology Fund.
He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts and has been a holder of the CFA designation since September 1999.
He has a Bachelor in Commerce from McGill University in Montreal, Canada with a concentration in Finance and Accounting.
