Recent satellite images from Maxar Technologies reveal the scale of movement of displaced Gazans within the region. The images dated on Wednesday (May 15) show Gazans who had been sheltering in Rafah now evacuated amid intensifying military operations.
The images released showed Gazans moving to Al Mawasi and to areas west of Khan Younis, where they were told to go by Israel's military. An expansion of tents and shelters can be seen at Aqsa Khan University and surrounding areas.
Israeli tanks have been massed around the eastern edges of Rafah and in recent days have been probing into built-up areas of the city, where hundreds of thousands of displaced people have been sheltering from fighting elsewhere.
