(Reuters) - Canadian e-commerce platform Shopify forecast downbeat second-quarter revenue on Wednesday, as fewer merchants sign up to its platform in the wake of an uncertain economy and tepid customer spending.

The company expects second-quarter revenue to grow at a high-teens percentage rate year on year. Analysts estimated revenue to grow 19.35%, according to LSEG data.
