Abu Dhabi Ship Building PJSC signed its largest defence export contract to date, to deliver three BR71 MKII 71-meter corvettes, along with a number of its UAE designed tactical interceptor and patrol boats, UAVs, and integrated logistical support and training, to the Angolan Navy. The BR71 MKII corvette, a version of the CMN-designed Baynunah corvettes previously delivered to the UAE Navy by ADSB, is a highly sophisticated vessel fitted with advanced mission systems including 3D radar, electronic warfare suite, secure communications, 76mm main gun, and surface-to-surface and surface-to-air missile systems. The total contract value is EUR 1 Billion (AED 3.94 Billion). The contract will become effective when certain conditions precedent is satisfied.
