STORY: "If you're ready for some queer wrestling give me a hell yeah."

Combining faux violence with fish net stockings, this is queer wrestling outfit Fist Club.

''I think we are just proving that you can do wrestling in a different way and it can be a success."

Co-founder Daisy Lang says their London-based group created the space to be accepting of those not aligned with the conventional image of a wrestler.

''For us to have created a space, that's queer focused, that's super trans inclusive, we work very hard on racial diversity as well, and thinking about...just bringing together all these amazing people who might not necessarily feel at home on other shows in the scene."

The joy comes as much from the costumes and make-up as it does from the clinches and joint lock moves performed in the ring.

Fellow Co-Founder Ash Wilk wants everyone feels at home at their show.

"I've wrestled for a while and quit wrestling and come back to wrestling and nothing gives me the same queer joy as Fist Club. And as soon as we did the first show, I just knew this is what we were going to be doing."

With sold out crowds, show host Katy Bulmer believes they are sending a message to the wider sport.

"I hope Fist Club can maybe show other wrestling promotions that queer wrestlers and openly queer wrestlers, it doesn't just have to be a pride month show."
