Greece issued 3 billion euros ($3.21 billion) in a new ultra-long, June 2054-dated government bond via a bank syndicate on Wednesday, one of the joint lead manager banks said.

Books for the new issue closed in excess of EUR33 billion, including EUR1.8 billion in joint lead manager demand, the same bank said.

The spread on the bond was set 165 basis points above mid-swaps, the bank said. The bond has a 4.125% coupon, and it was priced at 98.057, at a yield of 4.241%.

Joint lead managers were BNP Paribas, BofA Securities, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs Bank Europe SE, J.P. Morgan and Piraeus Bank.
